Assistant Varsity Coach Brian Chaney:

Assistant Baseball Coach Bryan Chaney comes to Prosper with 9 years of high school coaching experience. He began his career in Maypearl, Texas. Coach Chaney was in Maypearl for five years where he led the Panthers to the 2005 State Tourna-ment. In 2006 he moved to Howe, Texas where he was the Head Baseball Coach and offensive coordinator for the football pro-gram. His teams made the playoffs two out of the three years. He is currently the pitching coach for the varsity at Prosper.

 

 David Maple
JV Green Coach

David Maple has been at Prosper for 4 years as a football and baseball coach. Coach Maple graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Studies and a Minor in Communication. He is married to his wife Michelle, who also has been with Prosper ISD for 4 years teaching 4th Grade at Rucker Elementary.  He is a native of Rogers, Texas.


Head Coach Rick Carpenter:

The 2010 Prosper Baseball Camp will be under the direction of Head Base-ball Coach Rick Carpenter. Coach Carpenter, with over 600 wins and innumerable honors is certainly one of the most recognizable names in Texas High School Baseball. His teams have won 14 district titles, six regional championships, 3 5A state champion-ships, and a National Championship in 2002. He has been named Texas Sports Writers State Coach of the Year three times, and has been hon-ored numerous other times by various organizations as their Coach of the Year Honoree. Coach Carpenter has sent countless players to the Division I level including his two sons one of which is a current division 1 player and other plays in the Cardinals organization. He has also had numerous players drafted into professional base-ball, and currently has two former players playing in the Major Leagues. 
He is married to his wife of 34 years, Tammie.  They reside in Prosper along with their daughter Caitlin, who just finished her senior year of high school.

Started his teaching career at Folsom Elementary 3 years ago.  When he is not at Folsom, he coaches boys basketball and baseball at Prosper High School.  Coach Bowen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Heath and Physical Education.
